Tomball, TX : Baby died when car slams into tractor trailer on Highway 249 at Lazy Wood on Monday, Aug 3, 2015

An infant was killed Monday when a car crashed into a tractor trailer near Tomball, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has confirmed.

The crash happened on Highway 249 at Lazy Wood around 1 p.m.

Deputies say two children were in the car. A 9-month-old boy, Sawyer McIntosh, was killed . Authorities said he was wearing a child safety seat.

His mother Carter McIntosh and his 3-year-old brother, Braben McIntosh, were injured and taken to a hospital, according to officials.

Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety said a Hyundai crashed into the back an 18-wheeler after the driver had allegedly parked in a moving lane on 249 with hazard lights on.

Investigators said charges could be filed against the truck driver.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
