Trilby, FL : 1 dead in crash at College and Trilby on Wednesday, 30th January 2019
One person died after a crash at the intersection of College Avenue and Trilby Road Wednesday afternoon, police confirmed.
An 86-year-old female driving a Pontiac sedan was traveling south on College Avenue when she attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound Trilby Road, crossing in front of a 1988 Ford truck heading north on College Avenue, a police news release stated.
The woman was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies with serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the release.
The woman's identity will be released by the Larimer County Coroner's Office at a later time.
The driver of the truck had minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital. No one else was in either vehicle.
The intersection of College Avenue and Trilby Road remained closed from about 1 p.m. until about 4:30 p.m., when the Fort Collins CRASH team concluded their investigation.
