A child was killed in a crash on Highway 50 in Sacramento last night.

According to the CHP, at around 6:40 p.m. Thursday night, a 19-year-old female was driving on Highway 50 alongside the victim's vehicle, when the back of her vehicle clipped the front of a vehicle to her left. She then veered to the left, hitting the center divider, then veered to the right and collided with the victim's vehicle. The crash then caused the victim's vehicle to veer to the right, drive up a dirt embankment and overturn, ejecting the victim onto the on-ramp. The CHP's preliminary evidence points to the victim not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash
