Pedestrian Killed In Auto Accident Identified in Greensboro North carolina

Police have identified the man who was struck by a car and died Thursday evening in Greensboro.
Anthony English, 52, stepped in front of a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer on W. Wendover Ave. near the corner of Aunt Mary Ave. around 7:45 p.m. He was taken to Moses Cone Hospital and died from injuries.
Police were unable to identify English at the time of the accident because he did not have an ID, according to responding officers.
Police have not said they are filing charges against the driver.All westbound lanes of Wendover Avenue near Aunt Mary were closed while police investigated.
