Yakima, WA: Driver in I-82 injury crash in Yakima was intoxicated, troopers say on Sunday, July 26th 2015

A Wapato man who was driving while intoxicated Sunday night veered into the cable barrier along Interstate 82 in Yakima, injuring a passenger, the Washington State Patrol said.Troopers said Kaylo-Alexis Alvarez, 25, of Wapato was westbound in a Chevrolet Malibu about 9:15 p.m. when the car went off the road and struck the median barrier.Crash debris struck a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Glen P. Watson, 47, of Tillamook, Ore., the news release said.The motorcycle was declared a total loss, as was the car. Neither Alvarez nor Watson was injured, the release said.
