Tulsa , OK :One pedestrian killed after Off-duty tribal officer strikes pedestrian while driving on Friday ,May 1st 2015

Police say a man was killed in Tulsa when he was struck by a vehicle driven by an off-duty tribal police officer.

Tulsa police Cpl. Mark Shelton says a Tulsa officer discovered the victim about 9:45 p.m. Friday and the man died later at a hospital. His name was not released.

Shelton says police were investigating the scene when another man approached and said he was driving the vehicle that struck the victim and that he returned because he wasn't sure whether he hit something in the road.

Police say the man is an off-duty Osage Nation officer. The tribal officer was not arrested and his name has not been released.

Shelton says the area where the victim was struck is dark and the man was not in a crosswalk.
