Norfolk, NE : Crofton man dies in a crash in Knox County early Monday morning, January 2, 2017

A Crofton man has died after an accident in Knox County early Monday morning.

A spokesperson for the Nebraska State Patrol said Kevin E. Jones, 55, Crofton, was eastbound on Highway 12 when he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle rolled down a steep embankment and landed on its top.

The driver was transported to a Yankton hospital, where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

The state patrol said airbags were deployed, but restraints were not in use.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
