A 67-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday night in south suburban Lynwood.

Stanley Evans was driving a motorcycle east on Sauk Trail Road just before 8 p.m. when he disobeyed the traffic light at Lincoln Highway and struck the rear driver’s side of a vehicle heading north through the intersection, according to Lynwood police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Evans lost control of the bike and crashed, authorities said. When officers arrived, he was unconscious and being tended to by a registered nurse who witnessed the crash.

Evans, a Lynwood resident, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 11:02 p.m., authorities said. An autopsy Monday found he suffered multiple injuries in the crash and his death was ruled an accident.
