Tuscaloosa, AL : Demopolis teen killed in wreck on Marengo County Road 53 on Sunday, July 31, 2016

A Demopolis teenager was killed Sunday after his vehicle struck several trees on Marengo County Road 53,.

Jaylin Ronzell Paige, 18, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Impala that went off the road at 8:15 a.m. Sunday.

The vehicle hit several trees, said Trooper Reginal King, an Alabama Law Enforcement agency spokesman.

Paige, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed may have been a factor in the crash, which occurred about five miles south of Uniontown, King said.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
