COLLEGE STATION, TX : College Station city garbage truck involved in fatal pedestrian crash on Tuesday, 15th October 2024

A pedestrian was killed in a crash involving a garbage truck with the City of College Station on Tuesday morning. She was later identified as a Texas A&M professor.

The College Station Police Department (CSPD) said the fatal crash happened near Lake Walk at Traditions.

Dr. Hilaire Kallendorf, 50, of College Station was identified Tuesday afternoon as the pedestrian killed by the garbage truck. Dr. Kallendorf was also confirmed as Texas A&M University’s Professor of Hispanic and Religious Studies.
