ANDERSON, SC : Coroner identifies motorcyclist killed in crash that left another hurt in Anderson on Sunday, 13th October 2024

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said one person is dead and another is hurt following a crash in Anderson Sunday night.

According to highway patrol, at 8:06 p.m. a motorcycle with two people on it was heading west on SC 28 near Shiloh Church Road when it went off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and then spilled.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said a preliminary investigation revealed that witnesses noticed the driver of the motorcycle suddenly put on brakes and caused to the motorcycle to flip forward and eject both riders.

Officials said the driver and rider were both taken to the hospital, however, the driver passed away.
