A 28-year-old man from Deep River died after his car collided with a street sweeper Monday morning.
State Police Sgt. Sal Calvo said Anthony T. Camire was unconscious when emergency crews first arrived at the scene of the crash on Route 154 near the interchange with Exit 4 on Route 9. He was later pronounced dead. He was a volunteer firefighter in Chester.

Route 154, also known as Deep River Road, was closed in both directions for about three hours near the Route 9 interchange from the Exit 4 interchange to the intersection with Old Deep River Road.
The road reopened shortly after 11 a.m. Calvo said the crash remains under investigation.
