WATERBURY, CT : Car crashes into box truck in Waterbury, injuring driver and passenger on North Main Street near the intersection with East Farm Street on Thursday, 26th March, 2020

A Nissan sedan struck the rear-end of a box truck on North Main Street near the intersection with East Farm Street shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.

The impact smashed the windshield of the car, leaving it partially lodged underneath the truck.

Police said a passenger fled the scene. Officers later found her and she was taken to a city hospital with a head injury. The driver was transported from the scene to Saint Mary’s Hospital.
