Waveland ,MS :Louisiana woman dies in 2 car accident on US Highway 90 west Monday night ,August 31st 2015

Mississippi authorities say a Louisiana woman died in a car accident near the intersection of U.S. Highway 90 and Lakeshore Road west of Waveland.

Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1JMHBdA) 76-year-old Assunta Young, of Slidell, Louisiana, died at the scene from injuries suffered Monday night when a car traveling on U.S. 90 struck her car as she was trying to cross from Lakeshore Road near the Silver Slipper Casino.

Faulk says the driver of the other vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital.
