New Hanover County , NC : One person killed after crash at Middle Sound Loop in Hanover County on Sunday afternoon ,May 17th 2015

New Hanover County dispatchers received a call about a wreck at Middle Sound Loop and Dunbar roads just before 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed one person died in the wreck.

Emergency crews from New Hanover Regional Medical Center and NHC Fire Rescue responded to the scene.

Lanes were closed to traffic temporarily as crews worked to clear the scene.
