New York City, N.Y : One died, several injured in a multi-vehicle crash near Exit 5 in the Orange County town of Montgomery on Wednesday, July 13, 2016
The westbound lanes of Interstate 84 have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash that left one person dead and several others injured.
State police say the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday near Exit 5 in the Orange County town of Montgomery, 60 miles north of New York City.
Police say one person was killed, while a number of injured were hospitalized. They say the crash involved two tractor-trailers and four other vehicles. Both westbound lanes, which were shut down for several hours, reopened Wednesday evening.
The crash happened just a few miles east of where a multiple-vehicle crash shut down I-84’s westbound lanes for four hours Monday.
