EATON TWP, OH : Man arrested after multiple crashes in two counties on Tuesday, 8th November 2016
A man was taken into custody after crashing three times in three towns Tuesday.
Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested the man, whose name has not yet been released, after his car finally came to rest in a front yard at the intersection of Hawke and Cooley roads around 7 p.m. The intersection is the border between Eaton Township and Columbia Station.
The driver of the black Ford pickup is charged with driving under the influence, according to deputies.
The driver crashed first in North Olmsted and again in North Ridgeville before taking down an electric pole in Eaton Township, troopers said. The intersection was closed for about two hours while police waited for Ohio Edison to arrive.
Eaton Township Fire Capt. Jason Monschein said several police agencies responded to the crash. No one else was injured.
