Abilene,TX : Austin man killed in one-vehicle crash near Snyder on February, Thursday 15th 2018

An Austin man was killed in a one-vehicle crash late Thursday night on State Highway 208, 14 miles south of Snyder in Scurry County.

David Arriaga, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported.

The accident happened around 11:55 p.m. Arriaga’s 1992 Honda Accord was traveling north on the highway when it veered off the road to the right and into a side skid.

The vehicle rolled over several times and caught fire. It is unknown whether Arriaga was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
