Seatac,WA : Driver killed cyclist in Northgate, fled on September, Thursday 21th 2017

Derek Blaylock, 50, dropped his son off at elementary school for the last time Sept. 21, 2016. Later that afternoon, he was fatally struck by a Ford F-350 pickup truck while riding his bike near the Northgate Mall.
Kevin Brewer, fresh off his 50th birthday celebration the day Blaylock died, was charged last week for Blaylock's death. Police identified Brewer as the pickup driver; if convicted, that would make this the second fatal hit-and-run on his record.
After Blaylock dropped his son off at school, he parked his car and rode his bicycle to the bus.
Meanwhile, about 4:20 p.m. that afternoon, Brewer was headed home from Home Depot, driving south on First Avenue Northeast near the Northgate Mall and a park-and-ride lot. He had stayed up most of the previous night celebrating his birthday at casinos, reports indicate. He also suffers from sleep apnea.
"He is well aware that he is at grave risk for falling asleep while driving," Senior Deputy Prosecutor Amy Freedheim wrote in a court memo.
