Nixa, MO : Three teenagers injured in car crash just south of Nixa on Thursday night, March 24, 2016

A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a Thursday night car crash just south of Nixa.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says that three 16-year-olds, all from Nixa, were in the car when the driver ran off the road, then hit a fence and tree.

Troopers say passenger Preston Gusoskey was the only one not wearing a seat belt. He was airlifted to the hospital and is now in the ICU in critical condition.

The other two teenagers only had minor injuries.
