Colorado springs , CO : Five people were injured in Rv Crash after crashed RV into a car and eventually stopped when it ran into a home on Sunday , January 18th 2015

Two people were sent to the hospital following an RV crash east of downtown Colorado Springs.

The accident happened around noon Sunday.

The RV reportedly crashed into a car and eventually stopped when it ran into a home. Crews said damage to the home was minor and there was no structural damage.

Two people involved in the crash were sent to the hospital, however none of their injuries appear to be life-threatening.

"It was kind of a shock to see an RV drive into a house. It's not something you see every day," said neighbor Lindsey Quinlisk.

"It was two distinct bangs, don't know what they were from. If you've ever heard (an) accident, you know the sound. It's hard to describe," said neighbor Kelvin Petersen.

Petersen said Sunday's scene was similar to one he saw on July 23, 2010.

"It was a drunk driver, ran a stop sign, hit a car, flipped it over," said Petersen.

He said during that accident, neighbors rushed to help victims. He said it was a similar situation Sunday.

"All the neighbors jumped in and did everything they could until the professionals got here," said Petersen.

The accident is under investigation.
