Omaha, NE : Two people injured in collision near 67th and Pine Streets on Sunday evening, April 17, 2016
A two-vehicle collision Sunday evening near 67th and Pine Streets injured two people, sending one to the hospital.
Joseph T. Strojny, 51, of Omaha, was unconscious and suffering a large cut to his face when he was taken by ambulance to the Nebraska Medical Center, police said. But he was expected to survive.
Also injured was 27-year-old Michelle R. Petersen of Omaha, but she did not seek immediate medical treatment, according to the police.
The crash occurred about 7:15 p.m. A red 2015 Mini Cooper driven by Strojny had been traveling north on 67th when it went out of control and crossed into the southbound lane, colliding nearly head on with a white 2015 Subaru Outback that had been southbound, investigators said.
Petersen was a passenger in the Outback. The driver, Zachary D. Petersen, also 27 and of Omaha, apparently was not injured.
