NEWTOWN, CT : Newtown Police close part of Route 302 after crash on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018

Police have closed a section of Route 302 after a crash Wednesday night left wires down in the area.

Route 302 in the area of Boggs Hill Road is closed as of 6:20 p.m. Police said there were wires down and a cracked utility pole caused by the crash.

It was unclear how many vehicles were involved in the accident, but police said no serious injuries were reported. Emergency crews were on scene shortly after the call came in.
