Jefferson City, MO : 36-year-old Brad Roark killed in Missouri Boulevard crash on Tuesday morning, January 6, 2015

A Cole County man was killed when his pickup truck hit a tree off Missouri Boulevard early Tuesday morning.

According to Jefferson City Police, 36-year-old Brad Roark was driving westbound in the 1900 block of Missouri Blvd. around 1 a.m. when he ran off the road and hit the tree.

Roark was unresponsive when officers arrived on the scene. The Jefferson City Fire Department and Cole County EMS also responded.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Police say Roark was not wearing a seat belt.
