KATY, TX : 14-year-old killed after being hit by car while riding his bike near Creech Elementary in Fort Bend on Wednesday, 27th September 2023

A driver has been arrested and charged after a teen was hit by a vehicle as he rode his bike near an elementary school Thursday morning, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities said Devin Delvalle, 20, was charged with motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian or other vulnerable road user within the area of a crosswalk. His bond is currently pending magistration.

The crash took place around 6:40 a.m. on Mason Road near the Betty Sue Creech Elementary School in the Cinco Ranch area.
