Honolulu, HI : Kapolei man on off-road vehicle dies in crash on Wednesday, December 31, 2014

A Kapolei man died and a second man was critically injured in separate crashes New Year's Eve.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports a 20-year-old Kapolei man at 9 p.m. Wednesday was driving an off-road vehicle north on Kealiiahonui Street.
Police say he drove through a stop sign and struck a car driven by a 44-year-old Waipahu woman driving east on Kamakahelei Street.
The man on the off-road vehicle was taken in critical condition to a hospital, where he died.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office has not released his identity.
About five minutes after the first crash, a 40-year-old man crashed a moped on Kealiiahonui Street.
Honolulu Emergency Services says he was treated by paramedics and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
