York, PA : York dirt bike fatal crash under investigation Sunday September 4 2016
York City Police say they are focused on investigating a dirt bike crash that killed a 22-year-old Windsor Township man on Sunday, not on whether he was a member of a group of masked riders known for terrorizing city residents.
David Telp Jr. was riding the dirt bike on Prospect Street near Vander Avenue around 1:05 p.m. when he collided with a vehicle, according to York County Coroner Pam Gay.
Telp, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to York Hospital where he later died, Gay said. His cause of death has been listed as multiple blunt force trauma, and ruled accidental.
In late August, York City Police said they had made several arrests following numerous complaints of a group of individuals on dirt bikes wearing masks who had been harassing other motorists and in one case, disrupting a charity softball tournament.
