Medina, OH : A Delphos man is dead after a three-vehicle crash on Monday, August 28, 2017
A Delphos man is dead after a three-vehicle crash involving a semi-trailer on Interstate 71 on Monday night.
According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a Toyota 4Runner driven by Matthew Krendl, 54, of Delphos, was stopped in the right lane of Interstate 71 southbound near mile post 205 around 9:38 p.m. Monday. The 4Runner was struck from behind by a 2013 Freightliner driven by Petrsor Adrian, 45, of Quebec, and both vehicles went off the right side of the highway down an embankment and into a wooded area.
Adrian was treated at the scene for minor injuries by Lodi Fire/EMS. Krendl was pronounced dead at the scene. Debris from the crash also struck a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Bryan Smith, 29, of Wooster. Smith was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
