A man is dead after a crash involving a semi truck on Interstate 20 eastbound in Aiken County on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred near mile marker 14.5. William White, 73, was driving an empty tour bus that left Meridian, Miss., Thursday morning and was following another tour bus, according to Aiken County coroner Tim Carlton. White’s bus struck the rear of a semi truck, which had slowed due to another crash near mile marker 14, Carlton said.
