Man struck, killed by city bus in Pennsylvania

Police say a man was struck and killed by a city bus in Philadelphia's Center City.A police spokeswoman says the man was trapped under the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority bus after the crash at about 6:15 a.m. Friday.She said he was taken to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about a half-hour later. Police said the man, who has not been identified, was about 65 years old.Capt. James Kimrey said it was raining heavily at the time but it's unclear whether weather was a factor in the accident.He told WCAU that the bus driver's view may also have been obscured by scaffolding on the corner.
