Duluth, MN : 52-year-old Chisholm man died in fatal crash involving two semis on U.S. Highway 53 Monday afternoon, July 25, 2016

A 52-year-old Chisholm man was killed when the semi he was driving rear-ended another semi on U.S. Highway 53 Monday afternoon, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

The State Patrol identified the victim as Martin Jance. Both semis were traveling north at the time of the crash, which occurred at around 4 p.m. just south of Canyon. The driver of the second semi, Joseph Faber, 39, of St. Joseph, Minn., was not injured, the State Patrol said.

Authorities have not released any other details about the crash.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Grand Lake Fire Department, Hibbing Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, and LifeLink helicopter assisted at the scene.
