Madison, AL : Athens woman died in 3-vehicle crash in Madison early Sunday morning, July 5, 2015

An Athens woman was killed early Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Madison.

Michele S. Montgomery, 27, was driving a 2009 Pontiac on Wall Triana Highway, about 12 miles north of Huntsville, around 2:25 a.m. when, according to Alabama state troopers, her car collided head-on with a 2003 Kia and a 2010 Mercedes.

Montgomery was pronounced dead at the scene. The other drivers were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
