New Canaan,CT : Wilton woman charged with leaving accident scene on November, Wednesday 8th 2017

A 63-year-old Wilton woman was charged with evading responsibility after she allegedly side swiped another car without stopping.
On Nov. 8 around 8:15 p.m., New Canaan police responded to Main Street near Heritage Hill Road on a report of a car accident. The offending driver kept going and did not stop after swiping the other car.
Police investigated and determined Shelley Dempsey, of Deforest Road in Wilton, was responsible for not stopping after at the accident. She was issued a misdemeanor summons on Nov. 9 for evading responsibility and was released on a promise to appear in court Nov.21.
