Rosendale,NY : Snowmobiler dies in collision with ATV in Ulster County on December, Monday 18th 2017

Police say a 25-year-old man has died after his snowmobile collided with an ATV in Ulster County.

The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says Monday that Daniel Petras of Tillson was pronounced dead at the scene of the Sunday afternoon crash in the town of Rosendale, 60 miles south of Albany.

The sheriff's office says Petras was riding a snowmobile without a helmet when an ATV driven by 23-year-old Joshua Bennett drove into the field into Petra's path. The accident happened on private land.

Bennett was treated for injuries.
