CHARLOTTE, VT : Police investigate fatal crash in Charlotte on Friday, 4th November 2016

One person died in a head on collision overnight.

Vermont State Police say a tractor-trailer and a Sedan collided on Route 7 in Charlotte around 1:30 a.m.

Police say 22-year-old Andrew Godaire of Ferrisburgh was killed after his car collided head-on with a tractor trailer.

Crews were cleaning up gas that leaked from the truck. They say weather was not a factor in the crash but it's too soon to say how it happened.

"We had a crash reconstruction team there. We used measurements and diagrams and other things. It's still too early to determine who's at fault here," said Lieutenant Gary Scott, Vermont State Police.

Police say weather was not a factor.
