Tucson, AZ : No one injured in 3-car crash on the northwest side Tuesday afternoon, Sep 29, 2015

Northwest Fire District paramedics are crediting seat belts for the lack of any injuries in a collision on the northwest side Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of La Cholla and River around noon, after three cars collided, according to a news release.

One vehicle was on its side. The driver was briefly trapped inside.

Paramedics were able to get the driver out safely.

Each vehicle was occupied by one female adult driver. All three women were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

“The message is very clear when you see damage like this and that no one in the car had any injuries," said Battalion Chief Ryder Hartley of NFD in the release.

NFD urges drivers and their passengers to always wear their seat belts, and always ensure children are proper restrained.
