Wadesboro, NC : Passenger dies following trooper chase, crash in Anson County on Tuesday night, March 28, 2017

One person died following a trooper chase from Union County to Anson County late Tuesday night.

Troopers say they attempted to stop a Dodge minivan for speeding on U.S. 74 in Union County but the driver failed to stop, leading them into Anson County.

A trooper performed a precision immobilization technique and the driver of the minivan lost control, went onto the shoulder and overturned.

One of the female passengers was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation, all four occupants of the Dodge minivan were juveniles. Three people were ejected from the minivan, the N.C. Bureau of Investigation says.

The driver and two other passengers went to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

"The loss of life that occurred is tragic for everyone involved,” Colonel Glenn McNeill with Highway Patrol said.
