A man died early Saturday after being hit by two vehicles on Interstate 24 near the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester.
The collision happened just after 1 a.m. near the McMinnville Highway exit.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the man was in the median and tried to run across the east bound lanes when he ran into the side of a moving semi-truck. He bounced off the trailer and then was struck by a Jeep Cherokee.
Both drivers stopped and are cooperating with the investigation, according to Sgt. Alan Bailey. Neither were cited.
Preliminary evidence suggests the victim came from Bonnaroo. Bailey says the man was wearing a Bonnaroo t-shirt and a bracelet issued at the festival.
Investigators used the bracelet to help identify Casey Young. A 22-year-old male from Louisville, Ky.
According to reports, Young had both drugs and alcohol in his system.
