Bullhead City, AZ : School bus driver who allegedly ran red light in Bullhead City could face charges after crash on Monday October 19 2015
Authorities say charges are likely against a school bus driver who allegedly ran a red light and caused a fatal car accident.
Bullhead City police say the crash occurred about 4 p.m. Monday at the Bullhead Parkway and North Oatman Road.
They say the school bus from Kingman was transporting 15 junior high school girls on the volleyball team.
Police say the 45-year-old bus driver struck a passenger car that was turning left onto the Parkway.
The driver of the car — 25-year-old Mikinzie Cassandra Watts — was airlifted to a Nevada hospital.
Police say Watts died from her injuries Monday night. Her hometown wasn't immediately released.
Nobody aboard the school bus was injured.
