Longmont, CO : Head-on crash at the 321 mile marker of U.S. 287 near Francis Street on Wednesday, 27th November, 2019

A 71-year-old Greeley man died after a head-on crash north of Longmont Wednesday morning.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said the crash occurred at the 321 mile marker of U.S. 287 near Francis Street and involved a 1991 Mercedes Coupe and a 2014 Ford pickup truck.

The Greeley man was the driver of the Mercedes. The truck was driven by a 43-year-old woman from Berthoud. She was not injured in the crash.

Following the collision, U.S. 287 was closed southbound at Yellowstone Road and northbound at Vermillion Road while troopers investigated the scene.
