MAIDENCREEK TWP., PA : Investigation continues following fatal crash on Rt. 222 in Berks on Saturday, 13th July 2024

Berks County authorities are investigating a deadly crash on Route 222.

It happened early Saturday near the Ontelaunee and Maidencreek Township lines.

Initial reports say a driver was trapped and unresponsive in the car. Officials later confirmed the driver died.

Rt. 222 Northbound at Dries Road was closed as crews worked to clear the scene.
