Bangor, WA : Woman died after being struck by truck on Wednesday afternoon July 23rd 2014

A civilian employee at Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor was struck and killed Wednesday afternoon while walking on a sidewalk.

The Washington State Patrol says a 19-year-old serviceman lost control of pickup truck as he was making a turn and hit the woman.

Fifty-five-year-old Sandra Vicks of Bremerton was taken to Harrison Medical Center where she died.
