Mantua, UT : Woman died after a car crash in northern Utah on Saturday afternoon, January 7, 2017

Police say a Logan woman has died after a car crash in northern Utah.

The Herald Journal reports that Utah Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Teri Taylor was killed instantly Saturday afternoon when another vehicle crossed the median in Sardine Canyon and hit her car.

Troopers say her passenger, 20-year-old Emily Taylor, sustained minor injuries.

Officers say it’s not clear what caused the other driver to veer out of the lane, but that the vehicle lost control when it hit the slush in the median.

The other driver was not injured.

Troopers say there was no indication of impairment and that everyone appeared to have been wearing seatbelts.
