FOUNTAIN, CO : Man killed after being hit by 2 cars on I-25 south of Colorado Springs on Tuesday, 16th July 2024

A pedestrian was killed near Fountain Tuesday morning after troopers say he was hit by two cars while crossing the interstate.

The deadly crash remains under investigation, according to the latest update from Colorado State Patrol.

According to a spokesperson for State Patrol, troopers were called to southbound I-25 and Mesa Ridge Parkway (exit 132) just before 12:40 a.m., where they found a 23-year-old Colorado Springs man in the roadway with fatal injuries. He died before he could be transported to the hospital.

Initially, 11 News was told that the man was hit by one car, while a few other vehicles passing through the scene before the road was shut down were damaged by debris. In an update Tuesday afternoon, troopers said they learned two cars were involved.
