DeKalb County, GA : Driver dead, baby in car seat OK after wreck in DeKalb County on Saturday, 17th August 2019

One person is dead after a car crash in DeKalb County, but an infant who was strapped into a car seat was seemingly unharmed.

The wreck happened at 7:19 p.m. Saturday in the area of Browns Mill Road and E. Saddleridge Drive in Lithonia, DeKalb County police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer to Channel 2 Action News. When officers arrived, they found the car upside down in an embankment, he told the news station. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s identity was not released.
