HURRICANE, KY : Child dies in ATV accident in Pike County on Sunday, 28th April 2019

A child who was a passenger on an ATV died in a crash Sunday afternoon in Pike County, according to State Police.

Investigators say the ATV driver, who is also a child, crashed while trying to make a U-turn on North Porter Lane.The driver and passenger were both thrown from the ATV when it left the road, according to KSP.

The passenger died at Pikeville Medical Center. The driver wasn’t hurt, according to State Police.

No names were released.
