Sarasota, FL : Three injured in multi-car crash on Beneva Road in Friday 26th August 2016.
Three people were injured when in a multiple-vehicle crash at the intersection of Beneva and Clark roads on Friday morning.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol:
Blake Witt, 31, of Sarasota was traveling south on Beneva Road at about 11 a.m. Friday in a 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Claudio Crema, 69, of Sarasota was southbound on Beneva in the left lane.Both vehicles were stopped for a traffic light. When the signal changed to green, Witt accelerated forward, and the left side of the Tahoe collided with the right front side of Crema's Toyota Sienna.
After impact, Witt's car traveled southeast into the intersection where the front of the vehicle collided with the right front of 2014 Chevrolet Silverado pickup driven by Zacarias Caleron, 50, of Bradenton. His pickup was pushed backward by the impact, where it collided with two more vehicles.
Witt was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries that were described as serious.
Calderon and the driver of a fifth vehicle, Christopher Roe, 30, of Fleming Island, were taken to Sarasota Memorial for treatment of minor injuries.
