ROSEVILLE, MN : 2 pedestrians fatally struck in Twin Cities at Larpenteur Avenue and Woodbridge Street on Thursday, 3rd January 2019
Roseville police are investigating a double fatal pedestrian crash on Thursday night, Jan. 3.
The incident happened at Larpenteur Avenue and Woodbridge Street, just west of Rice Street near St. Paul.During a news conference at the scene, Roseville Police Chief Rick Mathwig said that a man and a woman were fatally injured when they were struck by a vehicle about 5:30 p.m. The driver, a 72-year-old man who was westbound in the far right lane when he struck the pedestrians, immediately pulled over, remained at the scene and was cooperating with police, Mathwig said.
Paramedics pronounced the pedestrians dead at the scene. It wasn’t clear if the victims were on foot separately or otherwise.
“I don’t know if they were traveling together or happened to be next to each other when they were struck on the road,” Mathwig said.
