The Stark County Sheriff's Office is investigating a car crash that killed one person and injured two others. It happened Thursday evening on Georgetown Road, near the intersection of Broadway Avenue. A vehicle on Georgetown Road drove off the road then back, into oncoming traffic. The driver, Ernest D. Simmons, 48, of Louisville died from his injuries at the scene. Sheriffs deputies arrived on the scene at 6:26 p.m. The driver and passenger of the other car were taken to the hospital, treated for their injuries and released.
