FAYETTE COUNTY, AL : Florence woman killed in Fayette Co. wreck on Friday, 25th October 2024

A woman from Florence has died following a wreck in Fayette County on Friday morning, officials say.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a single-vehicle crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on Alabama 13 after a woman driving a 2009 Kia Rio left the roadway and hit a ditch.

Officials have identified the driver of the Kia as 28-year-old Madalyn G. Powell.

Authorities said Powell was pronounced dead at the scene.
